Learn the foundations of score reading in order to elevate your level of confidence and ability in reading sheet music.

Pitch

Understand the purpose of pitch, and how these frequencies are tied within chord relationships and key signatures, applied through the foundations of melody and harmony.

Rhythm

Develop a strong sense of meter, understanding the feeling of time and pulse, through a recurrence of notes and rests that come together to form the structure of compositional movement.

    For many years we faced the concerns of fellow musicians needing help with their music theory skills. Ultimately we decided to design a curriculum tailored for personalized needs, helping students of all levels develop knowledge and understanding of music theory, from the comfort of their home.

  • Suono not only provides knowledge from internationally acclaimed music professionals, we tailor to the goals of each student. Whether it is covering the basic fundamentals of music theory, or diving into more specific concepts, we aim support you through each step of the way.

  • We offer a free consultation for each incoming student, aimed for both parties to thoroughly understand the student’s learning goals and ambitions.

  • Yes. The Suono Music Curriculum is a flexible, academic timetable that ensures the learning of all fundamentals of music. It consists of synchronous and asynchronous work, and it is curated by combining traditional music theory and keyboard techniques, such as ABRSM and Faber, with modern-day educational tools such as interactive video content.

Meet the Team

Co-Founder

Luca Grianti is an international pianist, collaborator and teacher, who has performed in many venues including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the DiMenna Center and the Pirelli Skyscraper.

Born in Italy, Luca has won over 20 international piano competitions and has performed extensively as a soloist and collaborator in over fifteen countries.

Further achievements include his participation in the Cliburn Junior Festival in Dallas Fort Worth, TX (2019) and second prize at the Manchester International Piano Concerto Competition (2019).

In 2024, Luca graduated from The Juilliard School with a BA in Piano Performance with Academic Honors. Throughout his studies, Luca was supported by the Wertheimer Family and the Keyboard Charitable Trust, amongst others.

Since September, Luca works as a Staff Accompanist at The Juilliard School, and has been appointed piano faculty at West Amadeus Music, where he enjoys a studio of twelve students.

LUCA GRIANTI

FARES HABB

Co-Founder

Born in Milan, Italy, Fares Habb is an award-winning pianist, film composer, producer, and music educator based in New York City.

Fares composed the original soundtrack for short film Hora Azul (2024), winning the Grand Jury Award for ‘Best Experimental Film’ at the NY International Film Awards, as well as ‘Best Experimental Film’ and ‘Best Artist Film’ at Cine Paris Film Festival. The film also received official selections from Berlin Indie Film Festival, Vienna International Film Awards, Girona Film Festival, Dumbo Film Festival, LA Lift-Off Global Network Film Festival, Student World Impact Film Festival, and Soho International Film Festival, which presented Hora Azul with an official premiere at the Village East by Angelika cinema in Manhattan. Most recently he composed the original soundtrack for Ketchup & Watermelon (2025), a short film by director Nathan R. Smith.

Fares completed his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Piano Performance at NYU Steinhardt, minoring in Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology.

Throughout his Master’s, he worked as an Adjunct Faculty in the Piano Studies department. Before graduating in 2024, he received the Outstanding Achievement Award in Piano Performance.

Fares has performed in the likes of Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, winning first prizes in the Forte International Competition, International Music and Arts Society Competition, and Concert Festival Piano Competition. Since 2010, he has performed across Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Puerto Rico and the U.S.
